DACO automatic classification system
The DACO system helps to determine a vehicle class before it arrives at the payment terminal in order to display the corresponding toll charge. It can be used with all types of roads, including motorways and national highways. It can also be installed at the entrance of private sites that want to classify visiting vehicles.
The DACO system is made up of two optical bars. When a vehicle goes through them, their sensors analyse the vehicle’s profile, count the number of axles that it has and measure its height. This data will help to establish the vehicle class in order to calculate the charge before it goes through the payment terminal.
Our algorithms can be configured to accommodate the different criteria for vehicle class in each country.
Our DACO classification system can be installed in front of the payment terminal (for an automatic terminal) or at the exit, in order to verify the classification made by the toll booth worker or identify vehicles in the automatic lane.
