19 CONTRÔLEURS FARECO SUR LA LIGNE T3B DU TRAMWAY

19 FARECO CONTROLLERS ON THE T3B TRAMWAY LINE

On November 24, 2018, the inauguration of the extension of the T3b tram line took place, connecting Porte de la Chapelle to Porte d'Asnières.

FARECO's skills in terms of light controllers were decisive for the integration of 19 controllers on a site started in April 2014 with the aim of adding 8 stops on 4.3km of rails.

We have started an engineering study phase linked to the operation of the light controllers to allow the priority of the tram in relation to all traffic. You should know that tram circulation is subject to time constraints: stopping and slowing down times must be minimized to serve each stop at a specific time.

This study resulted in the creation of programs to manage traffic light intersections, which we have integrated into our latest generation Gallery controllers.

Commissioning these controllers was the final step in this project, in other words, the last link in the chain. This stage followed the complete redefinition of the road. The entire geometry of the different intersections has been redesigned to allow perfect coordination.

The connection of the controllers to the Paris supervision PCs marked the completion of this project, which was inaugurated by the Minister of Transport, the President of the RATP, the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, the President of the Regional Council of of France Valérie Pecresse, as well as the management of FARECO.
